Working Out Without Leaving my Building

I woke up to rain this morning.

And I had to be at work an hour earlier than usual.

So I had to make my workout short and meaningful and not outside (rain makes me melt).

So I took on the stairs (not all of them).

I worked between the 5th and 8th floor. I channeled into my old high school track days where our coaches made us do stair exercises on snowy days.

Here's how it goes...

-Regular climb
-Every other stair
-Facing the right
-Facing the left
-Facing the right every other stair
-Facing the left every other stair
-Backwards climb
-Backwards every other climb

I did each of those going up and then back down. Then I did them all again. In high school, we had to do every 3 steps also, but the stairs in my building are particularly steep.

That took me 20 minutes, and let me tell you... I was exhausted by the end. My legs and butt were burning and I was dripping with sweat.

... I think I just found my new favorite rainy-day workout.

Way to keep the weight from going up.

STAIRS!! Don't think my knees would be able to take it.
