The Little Chef Who Could

I spent all Tuesday cleaning my kitchen. Okay... that's a lie. But I REALLY hate doing dishes, so it sure did seem like I spent all day on it.

After getting everything washed and put away, I decided to pull it all back out and dirty it up again! I made a delicious pasta dish from one of my cookbooks.

It was easy peasy. It started with pasta...

which was boiled...

then mixed with milk, eggs, nutmeg, pepper, and dijon mustard.

Then some bacon was fried up...

and mixed with onions.

All of that was thrown together with cream cheese and cheddar cheese and baked in the oven to delicious perfection...

then eaten...

by yours truly...

Technically, the recipe calls for brocolli and sun-dried tomatoes also, but I don't like either of those, so I left them out.

I really enjoy cooking, but I never have anyone to share it with. And I never have anyone to share the dishes with either!

2 days til our 5K. I have to say, I'm totally unprepared. I ran 1 1/2 miles yesterday and I'm actually a little sore today. Bleh. But, I'm ready for the experience and I'm ready to push myself.

Speaking of pushing yourself, my boyfriend went running today all on his OWN! I figure if I keep blogging about him, then he'll feel pressured to keep it up. Muahahaha. Take THAT, Ryan!

That pasta dish looked yummy...I don't like brocoli either! Glad you had fun dirtying up your kitchen again.

MMMmmmmm. Bacon makes everything better.

Square plates are really 'in' right now. So, I am decidedly 'out'. Lame.

Hi Kelly! I am here with your Dad, wishing you luck today...you and Karen too! We are headed to Allison's soccer game; if they win they are intercity champs. It's her B'day, so it should be a winning day.
Great blog!!
