My new bike called my name. Called and called until I finally gave in.
8.6 miles in 40 minutes. I drove over to try out a new bike path. It was good because it wasn't as crowded as my usual bike path, and it didn't involve as many roads as my second-found bike path. It was smooth and hilly and I went fast. I loved every minute of it.
When I came home and logged my training time on my computer, I realized that it has officially been 6 weeks of training. I have a little over 7 weeks left. Almost halfway there! That's scary.

I will start my healthy eating... tomorrow. I say that, because on my way home from biking, I passed a Dairy Queen and I thought a slushy sounded really good.
Mmm 290 calories in the form of artificial cherry flavoring.
But halfway home, I got the worlds worst brain freeze.
It was so bad, I had to pull over:
It lasted for (no exaggeration) 2 minutes. TWO MINUTES OF FREEZING BRAIN!
But as soon as it was gone, I kept right on drinking my slushy.

HA! Love the brain freeze photo!
There's a DQ along my favorite bike path. It's exactly 13 miles from home, and it's the best place to stop while finishing up a long ride.
Eat healthy, but always leave room for DQ!!
