Yesterday, Today, and the Day After Tomorrow

Yesterday

I went for my final 5k run before the race. It was 85 degrees and sunny. I completed it in 32 minutes, but felt like I was going to die when I finished. It made me a little nervous for Sunday, but I know I can do it.

Today

Ryan held my bike while I experimented with my Swim/Bike transition outside. I quickly learned that keeping my shoes on my bike will NOT work. It was hard to get my feet in them, and when I took my feet out, my shoe got caught on my front wheel. Bad.

My only option is to put my bike shoes on in transition and wear them while I run with my bike. Boo.

The Day After Tomorrow

is the race. I'm a little nervous, but I feel better about this race than my last one. It's 500m swim, 12.4 mi bike, and 5k run. My goal time is 1:38:00 (or... one second before my Dad!).

Have a good weekend everyone. We're all headed down to Indianapolis. I'll be back on Sunday with results!
